Staggered Start Times

The Baptist Health Turkey Trot Miami 5K/10K features wave starts to improve the flow of runners on the course. We made this change in 2017 based on participant feedback to ensure that the race experience is more efficient and, most of all, enjoyable for everyone! The field of runners will be assigned into waves based on estimated pace, released at 2-minute intervals:

Wild Turkeys – Corral A (8:25 and under pace per mile)*
The Flock – Corral B (8:26 to 10:30 pace per mile)*
Gobblers – Corral C (10:31 & over)
Tail Feathers – Corral D (Strollers & Walkers)

*Only athletes wearing a corresponding wristband distributed at Packet Pickup will be permitted into Corrals A & B. Participants may move to a slower corral without officially changing their corral assignment, but any athlete who wishes to move up in corrals must visit our Athlete Services at the Solutions desk at Packet Pickup with proof of a faster time.

Athlete Updates | Track your athlete through SMS updates when an athlete crosses timing splits on-course. Please visit Athlinks to sign up for alerts.

Note: updates are not “live” and may take a few minutes to update; cell connectivity may be limited in the race site.
